 PAYING FOR
THE EU HONEYPOT
HOW THERESA HAS AGREED TO FUND
EU PENSIONS FOR 45 YEARS
Theresa May's government has agreed to continue funding the honeypot of
pensions and employee benefits for all EU staff for the next 45 years
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
£9.5 BILLION OF UK TAXPAYER MONEY
  • Total pensions and employee benefits bill to be paid by the UK : £9.5 BILLION
  • 45 years of continued UK payments to the EU
  • Each year it’s the EU that will tell the UK what it owes for the previous year
  • The UK will be part-paying the pensions and employee benefits of ALL EU staff, not just British staff
  • Belgians form the biggest nationality group
In addition, UK pension and benefits liabilities for MEPs and “EU high-level public office holders” such as President Juncker and Michel Barnier will effectively be paid in advance to the EU over 10 years, not as they accrue over 45 years.

WHAT DOES THIS CHART SHOW?
“This liability has a long time-span”
- EU-UK Draft Withdrawal Agreement, 19 Mar 2018
The chart in our red summary box above represents the latest official information available. It shows the annual payments the UK will have to make to the EU for the next 45 years, purely for the pensions and employee benefits of Herr Juncker and Commissioners, Michel Barnier, MEPs and all other EU staff.
It does NOT include all the other payments which the UK will be making as part of “the divorce bill” from the EU. The bulk of these other parts of the divorce bill will be paid over the first 10 years following the UK’s supposed ‘exit’, as we showed in our article yesterday.
For the avoidance of doubt we included the first 10 years of pensions payments in the figures yesterday. Today’s chart separates out the pension and benefits payments, as these will have to be paid by the UK until 2064.
Our chart starts at 2021, which is the first year following the supposed end of the ‘Transition Period’. The UK will of course ALSO be contributing during Theresa May's ‘Transition Period’ in 2019 and 2020.
SO WHO EXACTLY ARE WE PAYING FOR?
The current wording of the agreement between the EU and the UK relates to the UK’s share of the total cost of EU pensions. This liability applies to the pension and employee benefits pot, irrespective of the nationality of the individuals.
In other words, the UK is NOT only paying for the pensions of UK staff, as the public might have assumed. It will pay for a share of the total pensions and employee benefits pot for all nationalities, and it will do so until the year 2064.
This relates to staff from all EU institutions – the Commission, the EU Parliament, and all agencies.
WHOSE PENSIONS AND BENEFITS ARE YOU PAYING FOR?
Here are a few of the British Europhiles who are benefiting, some of them to the tune of £90,000 per year:
L-R: Sir Nick Clegg, Lord Kinnock, Lady Kinnock, Lord Mandelson,
Lord Tugendhat (father of arch-Europhile MP Tom Tugendhat) and Lord Patten
And here are a few of the EU personalities whose pensions will benefit from continued UK funding:-
L-R: Jean-Claude Juncker, Michel Barnier, President Tusk, Guy Verhofstadt MEP,
Former President Herman van Rompuy ("Who are you?" - Nigel Farage), Federica Mogherini de facto EU Foreign & Defence Minister
THIS IS OFFICIAL INFORMATION
In preparing this article we researched many official sources. MPs can use the information with confidence, as they can with all of our reports. The figures for pension and employee benefit disbursements come from the OBR (Office for Budget Responsibility), based on the EU’s figures, and the same data is used by the House of Commons Library.
In addition and very importantly, the legal liabilities are defined as having been agreed by Theresa May’s government in the latest Draft Withdrawal Agreement.
OBSERVATIONS
The UK has agreed to assume responsibility for paying a share of the total EU pensions and employee benefits pot in respect of all staff in employment at the end of the Transition Period.
In the latest documents this is clearly marked in green, as having been agreed between both parties.
This can still be negated, because “Nothing is agreed until everything is agreed”. This is the mantra used by both parties. That said, Mrs May has made it extremely difficult to go back on so many concessions, if a new and more robust strategy were to be adopted by the British government. This would necessitate a change of leader, as Theresa May would lose all credibility if she tried this.
The total bill is currently estimated to be £9.5 billion although that could increase, and it will be paid up until 2064. This means that it will not be until 45 years from now that the UK makes its final payment to the EU.
The EU has generously stated that the UK might request to pay the bill early, and this is still open to negotiation. As it is, the UK has already agreed to pay for some of it in advance, spread over just 10 years. This relates to the payments for MEPs and “EU high-level public office holders” such as Jean-Claude Juncker and Michel Barnier. It will apply to the pensions and benefits of the Kinnocks, Lord Mandelson, Lord Tugendhat (father of Europhile MP Tom Tugendhat) and Lord Patten, as well as to the likes of Guy Verhofstadt.
WHY SHOULD THE UK PAY AT ALL?
As we suggested in our article on Sunday “No-one pays or receives on entry into the EU, therefore no-one pays or receives on exit.”
This is a fundamental principle, but this is not what Theresa May’s government has agreed to. When the UK joined the EEC on 01 January 1973, the UK assumed liability for the pensions of all EEC staff who had been employed for many years. It also assumed liability for all other costs which had been incurred by the EEC but which hadn't been paid up until that point.
The EU can’t have it both ways. Either it exempts new joiners from existing liabilities when they join, or it charges departing members for outstanding liabilities when they leave. You should either pay on joining, or on leaving, but not both.
NO BASIS IN LAW
Given that Article 50 makes no provision for any divorce bill and in fact specifically states that the Treaties (and their obligations) will cease to apply from the date of exit, there is no precedent in international law for any payments to be made by the UK to the EU.
Instead, Theresa May’s government - with unelected Olly Robbins now officially in charge of negotiations - has agreed to spend £9.5 billion pounds of taxpayer money. This will fund the very generous pension pots, both of British ex-EU staff who are actively conspiring against the will of the people such as the Kinnocks, Clegg, et al, and EU people who seek to harm the UK as much as possible.
We would be interested to receive your comments, as ever.
FINALLY
We have received emails asking why the information we have provided on the ‘divorce bill’ in the last few days has not been covered by the mainstream media in this way.
One answer is because it has taken many days of work for several people on the Brexit Facts4EU.Org team to research the information and distil it into a form that is easily read and understood, and then to present it clearly.
We desperately need more readers to contribute donations to fund our work. If we have to stop, who else will do this work? After nearly three years we’ve exhausted our own resources and we really do need your support to keep going. We’re enormously grateful to all who have donated, but unfortunately it doesn’t come close to what we need. Please help, if you want us to continue.

Message: Shocking! This explains why some British politicians clinging on to this whole EU ideology beyond any sanity. They don't care if their very nice pension - thank you very much - has to go through the costly EU pretence process of relabelling British taxpayers' money to EU money, as long as it ends up in their pockets. I would call this a sophisticated version of corruption.

Message: Sheer insanity, showing the duplicitous 'negotiations' to be the sham that they are. The dance of the illusion of leaving. These people shouldn't be allowed out of the house on their own without a responsible adult. Any UK-oriented negotiator would have said "OK, there's future pension liabilities which we might have a moral, but not a legal, obligation to as the EU is a legal entity in its own right. Our contributions and EU liabilities for this will stop on 29th March 2019. We will undertake the responsibility for payment, but no further contributions, from this point for all UK people affected. Please provide us with a schedule of existing UK actual 'pensioners' and their payments, a list and details of those who would qualify for payment in the future and when that liability is expected to crystallise, and your proposal for an agreed formula to pay us for the pension pot already accrued to the point of our leaving and that will be transferred to the UK as a lump sum on 29th March 2019."

 THERESA’S ‘BREXIT’
45 YEARS OF PAYMENTS TO THE EU
WHAT ARE WE PAYING FOR?
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org reveals the true extent of Theresa May’s ‘Brexit’,
with the UK making payments to the EU for 45 more years
Below we highlight THE FIRST 10 YEARS of Mrs May's 'Brexit' plans
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
THERESA’S ‘BREXIT’
THE FIRST 10 YEARS OF PAYMENTS

“We won’t be sending
vast sums of money every year to the EU”
- Theresa May, repeated numerous times throughout 2017-2018

“Then please explain this, Prime Minister”
- Brexit Facts4EU.Org, 09 Oct 2018
The chart below has been created by us from official sources and shows Mrs May's current plans.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
AND THESE PAYMENTS CONTINUE FOR 45 YEARS, AS WE SHALL SHOW IN TOMORROW'S EXCLUSIVE ARTICLE
IMPORTANT: The above chart does not even include the following:
  • Continuing payments to EU's €30bn ‘off-the-books’ EDF fund
  • Continuing payments to EU's €6bn ‘off-the-books’ Turkey fund
  • Continuing payments to EU's €3bn ‘off-the-books’ Africa fund
  • Continuing payments to various EU programmes, eg Erasmus+, Horizon2020
  • Continuing payments for UK involvement in EU defence programmes
WHAT ARE WE PAYING FOR, UNDER THERESA’S ‘BREXIT’?
In summary, the British taxpayer will be paying for absolutely everything the EU can think of.
  • ‘Normal’ annual budget contributions to 29 Mar 2019 (supposed exit date)
  • Continuing ‘normal’ annual contributions up to 01 Jan 2021 (as if we hadn’t left on 29 Mar 2019)
  • Ongoing contributions for all programmes planned before end 2020, but not yet incurred
  • EU pensions and employee benefits until 2064
  • Liability for all payments for ‘contingent liabilities’, eg loans EU has made to countries like Ukraine
  • Liability for proportion of European Investment Bank loans
  • Continuing payments to EU ‘off-the-books’ funds, eg Turkey (€6bn) and Africa(€3bn), for years
  • Continuing payments to EU ‘off-the-books’ €30bn EDF fund, to 2030 (est’d)
  • Plus some further costs which will shock readers and which we will reveal tomorrow
WHAT ARE YOU NOT GETTING BACK?
The EU’s demands are long on the UK’s liabilities – what they say the UK owes. However they offer very little in return, in respect of all the EU assets which the UK taxpayer has played a major part in funding. With the exception of some small monies for some technical financial instruments, here is what the EU is NOT refunding:-
  • No consideration for all the over-funding the UK has given the EU for 45 years
  • No repayment for UK’s investment in EU’s £17.4 billion satellite system Galileo
  • No repayment for the EU’s expensive buildings, including £0.25bn new HQ opened last year
  • No repayment for EU’s financial loans assets
  • No repayment for other assets, except refund for UK paid capital part of EIB, spread over 10 years
© EU Commission
ABOVE: The new EU HQ 'Europa building' opened last year, at a cost of £0.25bn, and the EU's 'Galileo' satellite navigation system at a cost to date of £17.4bn. The UK will receive nothing back for either of these, under the current agreement negotiated by Mrs May. And yet the UK continues to pay for the running costs of both.
WHAT ARE THEY NOT TELLING YOU?
All of the above has so far been accepted by Theresa May’s government. The figures in the chart above come from the Office for Budget Responsibility and we have cross-checked them with EU documents and tables. As stated, they do not include payments into key EU funds which are not part of the official EU budget.
For the last two-and-a-half years we have reported on the existence of these ‘off-the-books’ funds. We have repeatedly criticised the government and its reporting bodies for the fact that the UK’s payments into these funds are never included in the government’s official figures for ‘UK contributions’ to the EU.
They are, however, stipulated in the EU’s documentation on the Brexit Bill from December last year, and in documents going back to May 2017. They exist, and the EU demands that the UK continues paying for them for years to come. In the case of the €30bn EDF fund, payments will continue until after 2030, based on all the evidence we have gathered.
Additionally, Theresa May has repeatedly said that the government wishes to continue with membership of certain EU programmes and has specifically mentioned Erasmus+ and Horizon 2020. These are both hugely expensive and the UK has certainly never got value for money from Erasmus+, as we have reported several times in detail.
OBSERVATIONS
It is plain to see that Mrs May’s repeated statements that “We won’t be sending vast sums of money every year to the EU” are patently untrue.
We have stated before that we find it difficult to accuse a British Prime Minister of deliberately lying to the British public and to Parliament, and misleading people with wholly erroneous information on such an important subject. Nevertheless this is what we must do.
We must once again call on Theresa May to resign and to make way for someone with more integrity, who can at least present the basic facts to the public.
Unfortunately we have even more news for you, which you will not like. In the next article tomorrow, we will highlight Theresa May’s agreement to continue paying into the EU pension honeypot for the next 45 years. The figures are worse than has been reported. Readers with heart conditions may wish to avoid our site tomorrow.

Message: Firstly, thank you SO much for doing what our so-called journalists SHOULD be doing and highlighting important information that everyone should be aware of regarding our REAL relationship with the EU. It is particularly galling for me, having worked in broadcasting for many years, to see that the BBC, a once (broadly) independent renowned worldwide broadcasting organisation, has allowed itself to become nothing more than a propaganda puppet of vested interests which has become unwatchable.
I don't think that May and the EUcolytes, who think that they can still pull the wool over the electorate's eyes with sophistry and blatant lies, realise that the referendum opened many a closed eye to the deliberate obstruction of democracy. The 'People's Vote' of 2016 was more than whether to leave or remain in the EU. It was also whether we wanted to live in a democracy or not. Yet May still thinks that doing the minimum necessary, which still doesn't leave the EU, as instructed, and provable lies will be believed. It's what happens when you put remainers in charge of leaving. I believe that these cretins really do believe that in 2022, 6 YEARS (longer than WW2) after the vote that they can say 'Vote for us to really leave the EU', when all they've done is try to delay, frustrate and obfuscate implement the result. As for those BINOs (Brexiteer in name only) in the Cabinet supporting this 'plan', they are now being shown for what they are - controlled opposition. Both sides of this 'negotiation' are in collusion with one aim. To keep us in the EUnion by stealth, just as we were originally taken in.
We did not vote for a deal. We voted to leave the EU. The remain side made it abundantly clear what leaving meant (as per their apocalyptic worst case scenario) and they still lost. Our baseline for leaving is therefore WTO rules. THAT is our Withdrawal Agreement. A Trade deal cannot be agreed until after we have left, though discussions can be held. Any deal then agreed must be provably better than WTO, with no loss of sovereignty or subservience to a foreign power. No transition. No money.
To say that I am angry with what I have seen and heard from those supposedly charged with protecting and running our country in Parliament over the past three years, since the referendum was first raised, is an understatement. Their sedition and treason will neither be forgotten nor forgiven.

Message: 1. Whitehall wants the UK to pay whatever Brussels calculates. This could well greatly exceed £39Bn. P14 of CBP 7886, 04 Jan 18: “It appears that the UK’s figure assumes a greater proportion of decommitments than the EU usually assumes.”
“eurocrats briefed German media that the tab will actually reach £90 billion. Senior EU officials boasted that they managed to pull the wool over British taxpayers’ eyes with “mathematical acrobatics”. (The Sun, 15 Feb 2018 - written by two knowledgable journalists, one based in Brussels)
2. Page 25 of the ERG report makes clear that there is no moral obligation to pay the divorce bill: : “Mr Cameron’s Bloomberg speech in which he announced an In-Out referendum on membership was given in January 2013, whereas the current MFF and ORD run from the beginning of 2014 and were negotiated and agreed during 2014. So all the Member States knew when the ORD and MFF were agreed that it was all dependent on the UK voting to stay in the EU in the referendum.”
Name: Chris, Devizes, UK      Date/Time: 09 Oct 2018, 1.11pm
Message: I'm surprised that no one within the Leave consortium has mounted a legal challenge to these payments. Given that the legal position is that we owe nothing, then surely such huge payments for nothing in return must be illegal?
Name: Jon, Wales      Date/Time: 09 Oct 2018, 12.33pm
Message: I was annoyed we had to push hard to get our long promised in/out referendum which took decades to achieve. Former Prime Minister Cameron gave his now infamous 'Bloomberg speech' in 2013 which was unequivocal, to promise an in/out referendum where our result would be implemented - "It would be our decision", said he (If his conservative party was returned to power in 2015). Mr Cameron never expected to be returned with an overall majority [in 2015] so then had to uphold his promise which was viewed the world over. He did not think the electorate would trust him to deliver. Fast forward to his renegotiation with the EU where he achieved little. Brexiteers knew the EU would never reform, and in my judgement we have been proven correct. At the time, UK politicians were detached from the electorate (and in my view their majority still are)? An Act of Parliament went through both Houses in the usual manner and received Royal Assent to enable the referendum. "Leave the European Union" won the majority vote on a UK-wide referendum on a very high turnout. It was the largest democratic expression in British history. Mr Cameron resigned the following day. The Rt Hon Theresa May MP was soon installed as Prime Minister following an election process. I was willing to give Mrs May a chance - How wrong I was as she appeased the EU at British taxpayers expense, whilst expecting us to go short, and reduce our services. The time I stopped trusting Mrs May was when I heard her say, "we won't be sending vast sums of money every year to the EU", which to me inferred we will continue sending them billions. The purpose of taking back our country to again be independent, where our Supreme Court is supreme, we spend our money on our priorities (not subsidising our competitors), protect our own borders deciding who comes into our country and who does not, regaining UK territorial waters, and so on. I did not vote to remain in ANY EU institution or be subservient to the EU. I urge Prime Minister May to remove us from the EU, do not give a further transition period, and do NOT hand over British taxpayers money. We should withhold the NET amount we usually never see again? The EU will wish to continue trading into UK markets, but this should be on UK terms, NOT EU terms?

Message: Your chart really brings it home. I guess we all knew about the kind of continuous payments to the EU proposed from Theresa but it's important to show this so clearly and with actual data on this. I think I'm already dreading your article tomorrow by the description but I think I won't be able to stop myself from reading it. Well, better to know than not to know and being kept in the dark about all these things, so thank you.

Message: The UK taxpayer cash cow for a failing project, meanwhile in the real world taxes go up services down. The truth that our politicians won't and dare not tell us is successive Governments have made these commitments to the EU over decades. We are fully governed by the EU on all matters, just look at the threats issued as we try to leave: planes will not fly, no food, no petrol, no drugs, no trains to Europe. The Government is trying to shore up the premise that the UK is a self-serving independent democracy governed by politicians we elect to our sovereign Parliament in London. The opposite is true. The politicians just rubber stamp laws issued from EU headquarters in Brussels.

Since being taken over by the (Remoanist) Mirror Group, the Express has changed significantly to concentrate on alarmist stories, so I wouldn't read too much into that report. May will make more concessions, of course. I think the most accurate assessment of Brexit recently, came from Andrew Neil on last week's 'This Week'. In it, he said that we have reached a complete impasse, since the Commons will not approve any of the options currently available (Chequers, Canada+++ or WTO). He and Michael Portillo think that there will be a confidence vote and an early election. MP thinks that May will stay on as leader, but AN does not. If AN is right (and I think he is), then there will be a leadership contest, and the winner will almost immediately call an election. MP thinks that the electorate have no appetite for a Marxist government under Corbyn, and the Tories will win a healthy majority.

Message: Jacob Rees Mogg and ERG - if the Daily Express is to believed in this morning's on line version - are allegedly giving Theresa May more time to get UK out from custom union rules-2022. No !No!
As a Brexiteer this is a further kick in the teeth by the ERG and the Moggites'. They've given in, buckled at the knees. Not one Tory can be trusted to deliver the will of the people. By 2022 next election Tories may/or not be in power so the issue needs to be addressed now.
We owe the EU nothing, and then the ERG GIVES INTO THEM. ALL ROTTEN TO THE CORE.

WHY IS THERESA GOING TO PAY THE EU
£40 BN FOR NOTHING?
What should have happened in early 2017...
© Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org
A legal and commonsense explainer of the UK’s legal obligations
And why no bill is payable
This weekend the papers are full of speculation about Mrs May’s anticipated capitulation to the EU over the Chequers proposals, making them worse than they already are.
Instead of speculating on that, we look at the minor matter of the £40 billion (it will be more of course) that she has already agreed to give away, and provide you with some facts.
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
THERESA MAY'S £40 BILLION EU GIVEAWAY
If there had been a legal case for a 'divorce bill' the EU would have produced it.
They haven't.
Because there isn't one.
Regardless of Theresa May’s new capitulations over membership of the Customs Union and Single Market which we are due to hear about this coming week, a major stumbling block in Parliament will occur when MPs are asked to sign away £39 billion for “a pig in a poke”.
WHAT HAS THE UK AGREED TO PAY?
On the question of what Theresa May has agreed to pay to the EU, the government state that it will be in the order of £35 - £39 billion.
In practice – and based on years of experience of looking at EU finances - the figure will most definitely exceed £39 billion and we would be surprised if it turned out to be less than £50 billion. Apart from anything else, the EU has ‘off-the-books’ funds which we have reported on many times, and which are almost never included in totals when the government talks of the UK’s financial contributions to the EU.
Tomorrow we will publish what the EU expects the UK to pay for, in detail. Don't miss it.
THE UK DOESN’T OWE ANYTHING
18 months ago we published an explanation of why no divorce bill was payable. 6 months later a report was issued by Martin Howe QC of Lawyers for Britain and Charlie Elphicke MP of the ERG, which confirmed our position. Below we summarise each report.
1. THE PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG POSITION, APRIL 2017
Article 50 of the EU Treaty states that the Treaties “shall cease to apply to the State in question from the date of entry into force of the withdrawal agreement or, failing that, two years after the notification”.
In other words, on 29 March 2019 the UK will leave the EU and will no longer be bound by its rights or obligations. The Treaty does not set out any financial obligations being settled prior to withdrawal. In the absence of such mention, in broad terms international law assumes they do not exist.
SUMMARY
  • The ‘Brexit bill first’ demand was a political action by the EU, with no legal basis
  • Denial of any talks from June 2016 until June 2017 was a political action by the EU, with no legal basis
  • Long-term commitments it enters into are commitments for the EU, not for its individual member states
  • It follows that when a member leaves, it no longer has legal obligations towards future expenditures
  • No legal provisions for a Brexit bill in the Treaty
  • Expenditure commitments of the EU come under EU secondary legislation
  • Secondary legislation has no basis except under the Treaty, which will no longer apply to the UK
  • UK must continue paying annual contributions only until 29 March 2019
  • EU incomes and expenditures are not fixed – but no attempt by EU to adjust plans / mitigate expenses
2. THE LAWYERS FOR BRITAIN / ERG POSITION, SEPT 2017
In March 2017, the pro-EU House of Lords EU Committee produced their report which concluded (perhaps reluctantly) that the UK had no outstanding financial obligations to the EU and that the ECJ would have no jurisdiction over this.

Charlie Elphicke MP

On 07 Sept 2017 Charlie Elphicke MP of the Conservative European Research Group, and Martin Howe QC of Lawyers for Britain, produced a 30-page report which demolishes all known claims by the EU for what the EU refers to as:
‘The Single Financial Settlement’

Martin Howe QC
Main conclusions of the report:
  • No basis in law for further payments after March 2019
  • No basis for payments to EU’s pension scheme, unless EU wants to give UK share of all assets
  • No-one pays or receives on entry into the EU, therefore no-one pays or receives on exit
  • No precedent in international law for a divorce bill like this
  • European Investment Bank (EIB) is a separate case: UK is entitled to its shares (c.€10bn)
  • ECJ has no say in all of this – UK could propose that neutral international tribunal decides
The report's authors were unsurprisingly frank about it:
Charlie Elphicke MP for the ERG said: “The EU is trying to blackmail Britain into handing over billions of pounds. Yet this detailed analysis shows that legally we owe the EU nothing. In fact, it turns out they owe us €10bn.
“The Government should stand firm and not be blackmailed into a multi-billion pound divorce bill.”
Martin Howe QC for Lawyers for Britain said: “In law, we will owe no money at all to the EU when we leave, with some small items being more than cancelled out by the value of the UK's shareholding in the European Investment Bank.”
FORMER MINISTER SPOKE TO PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG
“Frankly barmy sums” - former Minister

We spoke to former Cabinet Minister the Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP for his reaction.:
Mr Paterson has always been clear in his view on the Brexit bill and he told us:
“This report clearly demonstrates that there is no case whatever for paying any of the frankly barmy sums demanded by EU negotiators.”
OBSERVATIONS
When the EU eventually got around to producing its three main negotiating points in summer 2017, one of these was the so-called ‘financial settlement’.
Naturally the EU talked mostly about the other two subjects: ‘Citizens’ Rights’ and the border with Northern Ireland. In reality, these were window dressing for its main objective, which was to secure an agreement for the UK to pay as much money as possible to the EU on departure. This proved easier than the EU thought, which is one of the reasons you have mostly been hearing about the other two ‘issues’.
FORGET CHEQUERS FOR A MINUTE
Currently there is fevered speculation about a move in Theresa May's position. The rumours are that she is planning to 'pivot' on this, which in simple terms means a U-turn. It is said from many sources that she will offer what amounts to the UK staying in the Customs Union,
Regardless of this there is the question of the UK signing up to some vague political statement about a future trading arrangement, as well as signing up to the payment of a huge 'divorce bill'.
We are as certain as we can be that the Prime Minister thinks she can somehow persuade Parliament at the last minute to accept the divorce bill, without any real details of the future trading relationship, nor any guarantees or specific dates by which the EU must agree a trade deal.
We agree with the Rt Hon Owen Paterson MP when he told us that this was 'barmy'.
OVERRIDING EVERYTHING
The EU is a highly political animal. It will use anything it can to secure its objectives, no matter how tasteless its methods and no matter the damage to its citizens. The way it has weaponised the Northern Irish border issue is a case in point.
If readers want to retain just one thought about the financial settlement or 'divorce bill', it is this. The EU uses legal argument when it suits it. Conversely it conveniently has amnesia when it is not to its advantage. For example when Angela Merkel unilaterally tore up the Dublin Protocol and opened the floodgates to millions of migrants, barely a word was said. The same was true of all the breaches of the Schengen agreement which were caused by her actions. Why? Because this was Merkel, Chancellor of Germany.
We have considerable experience of studying the EU and its methods. Believe us when we say that if the EU had a legal leg to stand on when it comes to any idea of a financial settlement, it would have shouted this from the rooftops of Brussels long ago.

You cannot and should not negotiate with people like that. Trump was right: you sue them.

Message: I remember when Theresa made some pitiful attempt to ridicule Trump for suggesting to her to sue the EU. TM also was quite keen to share Trump's suggestion with the media - with a smug smile on her face - even though I suspect that it was said in confidence. Both then and now she looked foolish. It may still come to suing the EU if the UK wants anything that it legally deserves.

EU’S ‘EUROPEAN SOLIDARITY CORPS’ BECOMES LAW
THE EU’s INDOCTRINATION OF YOUNG ‘EUROPEANS’ CONTINUES
Hundreds of millions have been spent already
Less than 200 young Brits have participated
On Thursday the EU announced the passing into law of what it calls ‘The European Solidarity Corps’, a youth project so closely associated with President Juncker that we refer to it as “The Juncker Youth”.
Crucially the new law legalises a separate budget for the funding which the EU has been applying to this youth project since 2016. The budget for 2018-2020 is €375.6 million. The total cost by 2027 is expected to be almost €2 billion.
WHAT DOES THE NEW LAW DO?
This law gives legal effect and a large budget to a programme of activities for young people prepared to commit to a ‘solidarity’ pledge to the EU.
Here is the opening paragraph of the new law:
“Solidarity among Union citizens and among Member States is one of the universal values on which the Union is built. This common value guides the Union's actions and provides it with the necessary unity for coping with current and future societal challenges, which young Europeans are willing to help address by expressing their solidarity in practice. Solidarity also stimulates young people's interest in the common European project.”
- Regulation (EU) 2018/1475 of the European Parliament and of the Council, Oct 2018
Note that the opening paragraph of the new law starts with the overriding reason for the “Juncker Youth” – to get young people expressing ‘solidarity’ and ‘unity’ with the unelected EU Commission’s self-declared ideals.
HOW MANY YOUNG PEOPLE ARE INVOLVED?
BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
  • Signed up since Dec 2016: 76,000
  • Of which Brits are: 2,381 (3%)
  • Official target by 2020 : 100,000
  • Official target by 2027: 350,000
  • Juncker’s target by 2025: 1.5 million
Latest EU figures show only a 7.8% conversion of sign-ups to actual participants, which would mean:
Less than 200 young British people are thought to have participated
Nevertheless the UK taxpayer has been paying for this since 2016
You are paying for this
© EU Commission
WHAT IS THIS COSTING AND HOW BIG WILL IT GET?
Initial cost for 2016 and 2017 : €200 million (est)
First official budget for 2018-2020 – set by law on Thursday: €375.6 million
Additional fund in 2021-2027 draft EU budget: €1.26 billion
With cross-funding from other EU youth programmes, we expect the total figure to reach: €2 billion by 2027
IF THIS IS ‘VOLUNTEERING’, WHY IS IT COSTING SO MUCH?
Not only are volunteers paid for their travel costs and are given an allowance, but ‘paid members’ are also given a salary. All of this is funded by the taxpayer through the EU budget. Registrants from French islands are even paid their air fares.
The EU describes this as ‘volunteering’ in all its promotional material. The reality is different, however. The balance has been heavily skewed towards paid work.
According to the EU’s own latest figures, only 16% of registrations are for ‘volunteering’, with the rest preferring paid work or a paid apprenticeship.
EU’s EXAMPLES OF WHAT VOLUNTEERS HAVE DONE SO FAR
According to the EU, Members of the Corps will be “Rebuilding communities following natural disasters; addressing social challenges such as social exclusion, poverty, health and demographic challenges; or working on the reception and integration of refugees”.
Below are two examples from the EU's own literature:-
Charlotte Dumoulin from Belgium is volunteering in Helsinki, Finland in an organisation promoting peace, equality, anti-racism and dialogue. Charlotte is working with youth workers to help them overcome their prejudices in their work.”
Vladislavs Jelisejevs from Latvia worked in Dumbravita, Romania in the project ‘European Diversity in Human Unity’ in which he focussed on delivering non-formal education to students of all ages, in and around the city of Baia Mare.”
- EU factsheet, Sept 2018
It seems that some volunteers at least are hardly addressing any 'natural disasters'.
OBSERVATIONS
Regardless of how the EU describes 'the European Solidarity Corps', here is how we would characterise it:
“A very expensive, pan-European youth organisation founded on one doctrine,
with an EU oath of allegiance to values dictated by the EU Commission.”
GENERAL THOUGHTS
Since September 2016 when “The Juncker Youth” started, we have repeatedly warned about this sinister new EU organisation and have published considerable research on it.
As with so many EU initiatives it was announced in a blaze of glory, in innocuous terms. Who can argue that ‘volunteering’ isn’t a good idea for young people?
The problem here is that most of this isn’t volunteering, and it contains at its heart an aim to brainwash young people into supporting ‘European ideals’. In fact ‘solidarity’ and ‘unity’ are inventions of the unelected EU Commission. No-one in the UK was ever asked to vote on these.
Even if it were about volunteering this already happens at the national level. There are goodness knows how many charities and NGOs now, with executives on enormous salaries, which do ‘good work’ and which need volunteers. A large number of young British people have always volunteered for these organisations.
We would suggest that the EU should have other priorities, such as working to reduce the disastrous level of youth unemployment which has wrecked the lives of a generation of young people in large parts of the EU.
Instead, they have built a new and very expensive youth organisation
with a military name (“Corps”)
to drive forward their political agenda.
TOTALITARIANISM AND SOCIAL ENGINEERING
There is no easy way to put this, but there are an increasing number of elements of EU policy and activity which resemble those of classic totalitarian regimes. This has become even more obvious since the Referendum.
With almost all of the team being British and with European history being of immediate relevance, it is only natural that the two examples of totalitarian regimes which come to mind are those of the Third Reich and the Soviet Union.
Echoes of where this kind of thing went in the past:
In each of these cases, indoctrination of the young was a key plank in the development and enforcement of these totalitarian regimes’ societal structures. And in each of these cases the totalitarian regimes cost the United Kingdom dearly, in its defence of peace and democracy in Europe.
RELEVANCE TO THE BREXIT NEGOTIATIONS
The government - and even most pro-Brexit organisations - are talking about continuing with youth programmes like this, and Erasmus+, after Brexit and say they think it reasonable to pay for continued access.
We believe it is vital that someone tells the Prime Minister and MPs that neither of these projects are harmless exchange programme for young people. Instead they are part of a homogenisation of European youth and an indoctrination into EU citizenship and sets of values which have never been agreed by the British people.

 EU CREATES 5TH ‘FREEDOM’
UK PARLIAMENT LOSES YET MORE SOVEREIGNTY
Headline from EU Parliament, 04 Oct 2018
AS IF 4 ‘FREEDOMS’ WEREN’T ENOUGH,
YESTERDAY THE EU ADDED A FIFTH
Yesterday the EU announced that it had created its fifth ‘freedom’ – the free movement of data.
Given the trouble that the first four have caused – including freedom of movement of people – readers might have thought this was worthy of a mention by the BBC. Afraid not.
Here we bring you the summary of this extraordinary development.
And once again we’re compelled to ask Remainer MPs:
“Just which EU do you want us to remain in?”
Unreported by the BBC, yesterday the EU added a fifth ‘Freedom’ to its previous list of four.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
Existing EU ideology has the freedom of movement of:
  1. Goods
  2. Services
  3. Capital
  4. People
Now they have added:
  1. “The free movement of data”
WHAT HAPPENED YESTERDAY IN STRASBOURG?
Yesterday in the EU Parliament in Strasbourg, MEPs voted by 520 to 81 in favour of the EU Commission’s proposals on the freedom of movement of data. The new EU law, once rubber-stamped by the EU Council on 4 November, will prohibit national rules requiring that data be stored or processed in a specific member state.
In other words it stops the UK from having its own rules on data and how it is used, and even lets bodies from other EU countries have access to it.
WHAT DATA ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?
The EU operates by stealth. If it wants to control and centralise something big, it breaks it down into smaller components and attacks each one in turn.
This is the case with the new fifth freedom.
The vote yesterday was about ‘non-personal’ data. However there has already been a new EU law about personal data. The most obvious manifestation of this to most readers will be the annoying boxes which pop up when you visit a new site, asking you to approve the site’s data policy.
It is important to recognise that whilst yesterday’s vote was about non-personal data, the laws on personal data have already been passed. Taken together, readers will see why the EU is celebrating a ‘fifth freedom’.
Here is what the EU said in its official statement yesterday:
“The two Regulations will function together to enable the free flow of any data – personal and non-personal – thus creating a single European space for data.”
- EU statement, Strasbourg, 04 Oct 2018
This is buried at the bottom of the EU press release and it clearly shows that whilst the headlines of some of the EU’s articles stress that the new law is about non-personal data, in reality this now wraps up personal and non-personal data.
HOW DOES THIS AFFECT THE UK?
Below is the graphic used by the EU as its headline picture in the current 'EU Newsroom'. Note that this comes from today, Friday 05 Oct 2018, and this is one of the two main featured stories. Impossible to miss, unless you're the BBC and don't want to report it?
Graphic from EU Commission headline, 04 Oct 2018
Readers will not need us to point out the connecting wire from the UK plugs into Germany. And yet the UK is supposed to be leaving the EU in March, before this law comes into effect.
OBSERVATIONS
Firstly, the term 'fifth freedom' is a misnomer.
In reality what it means is that the EU has grabbed another aspect of the lives of EU citizens and brought it under central control. Rather than being a freedom, this is in fact another straitjacket, overriding the ability of individual member countries to control their own affairs.
It represents a loss of sovereignty and democratic control, not a new 'freedom'.
WE THINK THIS IS IMPORTANT NEWS
Readers might have thought that the creation by the EU of a fifth ‘freedom’ - to add its previous tally of four – might be something which is relevant to the UK and worth reporting by the BBC, Sky News, and ITN. It seems not.
The four freedoms played an important part in the British people’s reasons for wanting to leave this ever more sclerotic and ideological organisation which seeks to create a United States of Europe. Freedom of movement has been roundly rejected by the British people, and the freedom of movement of services doesn't even exist, according to the EU's own reports and that of the OECD. Services make up over 80% of the British economy, of course, unlike most EU member states.
YET ANOTHER LOSS OF SOVEREIGNTY
Here we have clear evidence of yet another power grab by the EU which simply adds to the enormous weight of evidence to show where this ghastly Brussels edifice is heading.
In effect, the EU has removed from the British parliament its ability to legislate on data protection. Here is yet another demonstration that:
  • The EU won’t stop until it controls all aspects of the lives of the peoples of 28 nations
  • It remains hell-bent on creating an EU superstate
  • The unelected Commission came up with this new law, being the only body that can do so
  • The UK parliament is powerless against this monster
Where are the howls of outrage from those Remainer MPs who constantly and hypocritically cry out about democracy and a (third) ‘people’s vote’?
We urge all readers to promote this news about a fifth 'freedom' on social media and to all MPs. You might also want to promote it to the large, well-known and well-funded Brexit organisations out there, who won’t know about it either. We can't, due to lack of funding.

Message: The freedom of movement of data is as interesting as it is threatening. This is about information and who controls and who has access to it and about consequent power. The adage 'Information is Power' is flawed- things are more sophisticated. Sir Francis Bacon assumed power because he was addressing his peers, monarchs and politicians. But unless you can do something about it what you know, by itself, does not give you any power beyond your personal physical ability. You can go tell someone with authority but it is they who have the power, you only had influence. This distinction is crucial. A simple expression applies: Information and Authority permit Power. If a country cannot control its own information as it wishes others can, give the ability (authority) use or abuse that information to have power over us. The expression can be illuminated in a simple way. If you have authority, lacking the information (data in this case) if you use your authority you are in serious danger of the impotence of unintended consequences. However, if you have the information, thanks to the '5th Freedom' you can have power over other people or countries which you would not, otherwise, have. The 5 EU Freedoms have turned out not to be Freedoms but exactly the opposite. They are being used to centralize and destroy nations in the process of constructing an EU nation state. The process is highly sophisticated as is the propaganda it uses (also about information and misinformation flow). It is a serious mistake to underestimate the sophistication, cunning and focus of the politically empowered EU Civil service we call The Commission. They intend to destroy all member states and absorb like as many colonies into one state ruled by the unaccountable. A veneer disguises an empty quadrille of democratic processes void for want of any ability to remove or approve off actual law makers.

Message: [Off topic] My concerns regarding a weak Brexit: I am still positive we can get a deal that can benefit both parties, and I feel this is very important, however, the government is too remain sided at the minute and it's clear that Theresa is in cahoots with the EU. She led a purposely weak GE campaign, hammering the elderly, students, and even flirting with fox hunting too boot, all with one goal in mind, too lose her majority in parliament making the whole process impossible to solve within her party alone! This was an outrage that went unreported and I think that needs mentioning somewhere along the line (good luck with that). Ireland - new technology, scanning etc, the registered trusted trader technology, it's all doable and everyone knows it. It's being made to look hard to Exit too stop others following. however Tusks words might not mean exactly what I hope of a Canada +++ deal, but it has shown the likes of Salvini and co, push the EU hard enough and they will budge/concede, call it what you will.

Message: Off-topic, but related to the BBC which you mention. Have just sent the below complaint to BBC using BBC online form from Battle-Pack. Below is copy and paste of my complaint which is self-explanatory. I have registered my complaint as "Offence" and requested they respond to me.
"Regarding Question Time 27/09/2018.
Chairman Mr Dimbleby did not pull up guest panelist AYESHA HAZARIKA when answering an audience member where she stated, "Democracy is not a moment in time, right, the country changes. Do you know, actually since we had that vote [23 June, 2016] about a million people have passed away. About a million young people have probably come onto the voting register..."
Thank you BBC, my mother who so desperately wanted to leave the EU was one of those million people who passed away last month, so I wish you to know this has been difficult to write.
I would ask Mr Dimbleby to make a public apology for the extreme upset caused by words so clearly stated by Ms Hazarika. SUCH WORDS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE.

 ANNOUNCING THE
BREXIT INDEX
HOW TO COUNTER THE ANTI-BREXIT ‘NEWS’
AND WIN HEARTS & MINDS
Imagine having a resource at your fingertips, allowing you quickly to access the key facts - and many more details if you want - on all the major issues and themes surrounding Brexit.
WHAT IS THE BREXIT INDEX?
The Brexit Index has been built from the thousands of pieces of daily research which we have published. The research comes from the EU itself, from the British government, from official agencies such as the ONS, and sometimes from international organisations such as the IMF, World Bank, OECD, etc.
EXAMPLE - NORTHERN IRELAND BORDER
You want the facts on the Northern Ireland border issue?
No problem. A couple of clicks in the Brexit Index and you’ll have access to summaries, simple charts, testimony from HMRC, from the Irish customs agency, and the EU’s own report proving that the issue is easily solvable. You’ll also have background information, such as the very small economic scope of all of this.
And it’s all based on hard facts from official EU and UK government information.
Don’t forget, the PM is citing the border issue as being the reason for backing Chequers over a Canada+++ or a similar trade deal. Take that away and there’s no reason for her not to ‘Chuck Chequers’!
This is just one of many examples of the issues covered by the Brexit Index.
The Brexit Index is comprehensive, easy-to-use, and there’s nothing like it out there. It has taken 3 months to produce and is based on the last 18 months of our work.
It allows you to find the key information you want on any aspect of Brexit - fast.
APPEAL – WE NEED TO RAISE £20,000 - CAN YOU SPARE £10?
To complete the job we need to raise £20,000 fast. The full economic cost of the Index and its contents is well over £200,000 but we’re asking readers for help in raising just £20,000 of this.
Thousands of people read our work, and of course they distribute it to thousands more. If every reader gave £10 we could get this project live and we’d have some money left over to keep going with our essential daily output of facts, which you normally can’t read anywhere else.
In reality we know that only a small proportion of our readers will feel able to help, so if you can give more than £10 to this worthwhile project it will go live faster and you would be making a very practical contribution to achieving a full, clean Brexit.
All sponsors’ names will appear at the bottom of the index, unless you prefer to remain anonymous. There will be a section for ‘VIP sponsors’ who gave more than the minimum.
THE BREXIT INDEX COMES IN 3 VERSIONS
1. The standard Brexit Index - £10 sponsorship
Available free to all MPs, plus new £10 sponsors of the Index. Contains the key research articles on each topic and our observations. An absolute ‘must-have’ for all Brexiteers. Single individual 4-month licence.
2. The Brexit Index Pro version - £50 'Pro' sponsorship for enthusiastic individuals
Available free to all MPs, plus new sponsors donating £50 or more. Contains the key research articles for each topic with our observations, plus many sub-topics allowing you to find more specific information at a click. Single individual 4-month licence.
3. The Brexit Index Campaign version - £5,000 sponsorship
The ‘Campaign’ version of the Brexit Index is available to major Brexit campaigning organisations and to the mainstream media. Contains the key research articles for each topic with our observations, plus many sub-topics allowing you to find more specific information at a click. Allows 10 licences per sponsorship. Major discounts available for smaller organisations and those groups who are ‘friends’ of Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org.
SOUNDS GREAT, HOW DO I SPONSOR THE BREXIT INDEX?
This is easy. Please use one of our payment methods below. Choose the level of donation you wish to make and tell us that you’re sponsoring the Brexit Index. We’ll then confirm back to you. (Please use either of the 'quick one-off' methods below, ignore the description, and simply choose the amount.)

THE PUBLIC – AND MPs - DESERVE THE FACTS ON BREXIT
The Brexit Index will deliver the most definitive source of easily findable facts on all aspects of Brexit. We hope you will support this major new tool in the fight to achieve the full clean Brexit that the majority of the British public voted for - and still want to see delivered.
Can you give this project some 'people power'
and help us to get it out there as quickly as possible?

 EU27 HAVE SOLD £4.3 TRILLION
OF GOODS & SERVICES
TO UK SINCE 2000
BASICS FOR REMAINER MPs, CIVIL SERVANTS, AND THERESA MAY:
THE SIZE AND POWER OF THE UK’S MARKET
Much is said by Remainer MPs about how insignificant the UK’s market is to the EU. We bring you the latest data.
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org thought that Remainer MPs – and the Prime Minister - might like to know some basic facts about their country - the United Kingdom – in relation to the EU27.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
BRITAIN IS MUCH GREATER THAN REMAINER MPs THINK
  • EU countries have sold the UK goods & services worth £4.3 TRILLION since 2000
  • The EU27’s sales to the UK in 2017 alone were worth £341 billion
  • The UK has a Single Market comprising England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland
  • This UK Single Market has a population bigger than 15 EU countries combined
  • Its economy is the 5th largest in the World (official IMF data)
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
THE‘UK SINGLE MARKET’
Everyone talks about the EU Single Market. What is never spoken about is the UK Single Market, which comprises England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
This is a massive market for the EU27. If the EU does a trade deal with the UK it will be by far the biggest in its history – many times the size of the EU’s deals with Canada and Japan, neither of which have yet been ratified, despite all the hype.
Since the year 2000 the EU member states have sold goods and services to the UK worth in excess of £4.3 TRILLION. Last year alone these totalled £341 billion.
A MARKET OF 66 MILLION CONSUMERS
When the UK eventually leaves the EU, it will represent the equivalent of the population of more than 15 member states all departing simultaneously.
© Facts4EU.Org 2018
The EU is not homogeneous. It is little understood that the EU contains member states which would only classify as towns if they were in the UK, such as Malta.
The population of the EU for 2017 is estimated by Eurostat as being 511.5 million. When the UK leaves it will fall to 445.7 million. The EU will be 87% of its former size.
On Brexit the UK Single Market of 66 million people on the EU’s doorstep will represent a massive market for EU27 companies, as at present. That market will be just as important post-Brexit as it is now.
OBSERVATIONS
The overriding message here is that the United Kingdom is far more important to the EU than Remainer MPs would have people believe.
More worryingly, it seems that the likes of Olly Robbins and his No.10 ‘Europe Unit’ - which was responsible for the disastrous Chequers proposals - are also unaware of the basics. They seem to hold a defeatist mindset, thinking that the UK is a minor player and that we will be lucky if the EU agrees to any concessions at all.
It is even more concerning that we have a Prime Minister who enters rooms in Brussels and allows herself to be either ignored (remember her lonely face at summits last year?) or insulted, as at Salzburg two weeks ago.
We would never suggest for one moment that any UK Prime Minister should strut arrogantly around Brussels like she owns the place. However if we had to choose, we would rather have that than the meek little May, timidly asking for nothing and getting even less, which is what we have at present.
MRS MAY’S SPEECH AT THE PARTY CONFERENCE TODAY
Frankly, most members of the Facts4EU.Org team can barely bring themselves to watch today, as Theresa May addresses the Conservative Party conference and lies about her Brexit strategy once again.
Chequers is a complete travesty – of the Referendum result, of the truth, of democracy, and of the possibilities for this great country of ours in exiting the EU. There can be no debate about this. Chequers simply doesn’t represent what people voted for and it certainly doesn’t deliver what Mrs May is pretending it does. Put simply, it isn’t Brexit it’s Remain, only far worse.
It is now clear that no leading Conservative politicians will make a move against her, as they should have done last year. Instead it looks like they will continue to act in their own personal political interests. Our country will suffer massively as a result.
As Messieurs Macron and Barnier would say: “Plus ca change, plus c’est la meme chose”.
Note: We exempt certain honourable and knowledgeable MP and MEP readers from our criticisms – they know who they are.
Finally, one of the reasons you don't see information like this on other Brexit sites is because it's original work, which takes many hours of work from several people for each piece. Writing long opinion pieces is easy. Condensing detailed research into a form which is easily accessible for normal people, with bullet points and simple charts, is not.
We've been doing this seven days a week since well before the Referendum, because we think facts are important. Please, please donate something today so that we can keep bringing you - and MPs and the public - this vital information to influence a successful Brexit outcome. Thank you.

Message: All very well but I think we Brexiters have consistently underestimated the political will of Europeans to keep the EU going at all costs. They seem quite willing to sacrifice thousands of jobs on the integrity of the single market. They are not going to bend the rules, whatever the economic cost to their own people. The EU is a political project and much of its population sees it as their saviour against previous dictatorships or the Soviets. This is what we in the UK (with our history of freedom) have neglected to see and this kind of bargaining simply won't work.
Reply: We agree, and we've argued exactly that for over two years. This article wasn't about bargaining of course.

Message: Dear Facts4EU, I have yet to hear anyone describe what practical actions they will be taking during the Implementation Period. What is it For? I would love to read one of your examinations of this. If it is only a period during which we try to negotiate a trade deal with the EU, having already signed the Withdrawal Agreement and legally committed to paying £40bn, that would be madness. Once they have got our money there is no pressure on them to agree a good deal.
So, if you could do an article, I'd love to read it.>
Also to say that I am enjoying the Battle Pack. I've taken to writing (paper letters) regularly to Gavin Barwell, the No 10 Chief of Staff. He was my MP until the last election when he lost his seat to a Labour candidate. I tell him that I write to him as I don't have a Conservative MP. He never replies. Every good wish,

Message: This article delivers a perfect message for the Remainer mps. Seeing this they might start thinking differently. Regarding Theresa May's overall behaviour and attitude it's obvious she needs to know facts and figures like the above ones. Some tiny countries' leaders express far more confidence and authority than her and all these factors are causing continuing disadvantage to the UK.

NO OTHER BREXIT ORGANISATION DOES WHAT WE DO
AND CERTAINLY NONE START WORK AT 2am, 7 DAYS A WEEK, TO DO IT
After more than two and a half years we can't afford to subsidise this work ourselves any longer and we'll have to scale back. Collectively the team has borne 90% of the cost.
We're really grateful to the tiny fraction of our thousands of readers who have given donations. If you read our work regularly and and value it, but have yet to donate, could we perhaps persuade you to help us with a donation, so that we can continue at this crucial time for Brexit?

 PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG EXCLUSIVE
FROM THE TORY CONFERENCE
“MAY IS DELIBERATELY
  SABOTAGING BREXIT”
TOP TORY DONOR TELLS US HOW THERESA MAY ACTED AGAINST HER OWN PARTY'S INTERESTS, AS WELL AS THE COUNTRY'S INTERESTS
Jeremy Hosking, top Leave and Tory donor
“Events since before the election are consistent with a PM and advisers
who are deliberately sabotaging Brexit.”
“She intends to dilute Brexit beyond recognition.”
- Jeremy Hosking, from party conference, 01 Oct 2018
MAY & TEAM ACCUSED OF BLOCKING FUNDS TO FIGHT SITTING REMAINER MPs
This article is not only about the Prime Minister's stance on Brexit.
It relates to specific allegations that she and her closest (Remainer) advisers damaged her own party as well as the Brexit cause, by blocking donor money for Tory candidates who were fighting Remainer MPs in last year's election.
Senior Conservative party donor and Leave backer, City financier Jeremy Hosking, is losing patience.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
Mrs May’s election team acted to block £700,000 donation
for the 2017 general election fight against Remainer MPs, says donor
  • City financier offered £700,000 to Conservatives for candidates fighting Remainer MPs
  • The Conservative party machine “did everything possible to block the donations”
  • £5,000 each was offered to 138 Conservative candidates
  • In the end only 75 candidates could be helped – and only after a fight by Mr Hosking and his team
  • £324,000 to fight Remainer MPs went begging – why?
  • ‘Smoking gun’ leads to Theresa May’s office
Mr Hosking has previously spoken about his frustration at the de facto blocking of his offer of £700,000 to the Conservative election campaign of 2017.
Yesterday evening, talking exclusively to Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org, he’s taking the gloves off and is blaming Theresa May and her team. Conservative MPs, candidates, and local activists may well read what follows and want to ask the PM some questions.
THERESA MAY’S OFFICE HAS OFFERED NO EXPLANATION
Mr Hosking and his Brexit Express team told us they still await an explanation from No.10 and Conservative Party Central Office as to why they made it as difficult as possible in the 2017 election campaign for him to fund 138 candidates who were running against Remainer MPs.
It is now Mr Hosking’s view that “the PM and her advisers are deliberately sabotaging Brexit.”
This is a strong claim by a man known for his firm support for the Conservative Party.
THE DONATION AND THE BLOCK BY REMAINER MAY
The offer by Mr Hosking was simple. He and his Brexit Express team had identified 138 seats where Conservative candidates were fighting sitting Remainer MPs. He offered a donation of £5,000 to each of the candidates. The total available funding was £700,000. He has also made previous donations to the party, running to hundreds of thousands on top of the £700,000.
In order to get this money to the candidates concerned, his team had to go through the Conservative party machine, so that the money was earmarked specifically for the right constituencies. Mr Hosking naturally assumed this would be a simple exercise. His Brexit Express team had done all the work in identifying the constituencies and were even prepared to manage the administration necessary with local Conservative associations.
Instead, they were stonewalled. Worse still, when they tried to get explanations for why the £700,000 donation was not being accepted without strong resistance, they met a brick wall. In the end, it was made clear (off the record) that the problem lay with No.10.
TAKING THE GLOVES OFF
A normally placid Jeremy Hosking has now felt it necessary to speak out again, ahead of Mrs May's big conference speech tomorrow.
Speaking from the Conservative party conference in Birmingham last night,
Mr Hosking told Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org:
“It has been a fantastic day at the Conservative party conference with some great speeches. None of them however answer the three key questions:-
  1. Why have we gone into the most crucial EU negotiation in 50 years without a ‘No Deal’ negotiation position?
  2. Why was the Dec 8th Irish banana skin laid down, and cabinet colleagues misled as to its significance?
  3. Why even now is Chequers being pursued as the only good option when the DUP is ambivalent between Chequers and ‘Canada Plus’?
“The Prime Minister is working hard, but which groups or constituency is she working for? There is no change to our view she intends to dilute Brexit beyond recognition.”
It is abundantly clear that Mr Hosking is deeply frustrated at what he sees at the thwarting by Mrs May and her team of genuine attempts to promote the cause of Brexit.
“The main parties, all of whom backed Remain, have at once protested their desire to ‘listen to the voice of the people’ while actively doing everything they can to defy it. Chief among them have been the Conservatives who are, by the skin of their teeth, in government…
“They are led by a Remain Prime Minister and advised by a Remain Civil Service of which the personification is Ollie Robbins, he who negotiates with the EU on this country’s behalf.”
In the end, Mr Hosking and his team managed to get just over half the available money to some 75 candidates, but this was only after herculean efforts from the Brexit Express team, in many cases bypassing CCHQ and speaking directly to local constituency associations.
Crucially, £324,000 went begging.
Jeremy Hosking donated over £1.5 million to the Leave campaign. This is one of the posters he funded.
DOES THE MONEY TRAIL LEAD TO THERESA HERSELF?
Jeremy Hosking told Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org exclusively:
“Events since before the election are consistent with a PM and advisors who are deliberately sabotaging Brexit. It is part of a strategy, it’s going to plan and the inference from experience of Brexit Express is that the Prime Minister herself is probably implicated.”
These are strong words from a man like Mr Hosking.
RESPONSE FROM CONSERVATIVE HQ AND No.10
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org called Conservative party HQ and asked them to comment on Mr Hosking’s allegations. Their spokesperson referred us to No.10. The Prime Minister’s spokesperson at No.10 refused to comment on the matter of funding. We were referred back to Conservative Central Office.
CCHQ then declined to comment on the phone, despite our insistence, but we were offered a quick response by email. We sent them the allegations and everything went quiet. We are still waiting.
All we could obtain in the end was a response from the Prime Minister’s spokesman at No.10 to Mr Hosking’s allegations about her Brexit strategy:
“The PM is focused on working to secure a good deal for the nation that delivers on the people’s vote, takes back control over our money, our laws and our borders.”
Prime Minister's spokesman to Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org, 01 Oct 2018
We found it interesting that the PM’s spokesman referred to “the people’s vote”, but we were unable to get a response from anyone at No.10 or CCHQ on the central allegation of the blocking of funding for candidates fighting sitting Remainer MPs.
OBSERVATIONS
To us, £700,000 is a lot of money. Sadly it seems that Mrs May and her top team were – to say the very least – extremely reluctant to accept it. And despite the best efforts of Mr Hosking and his team over many weeks, £324,000 of it went begging.
Please note that this was a perfectly proper donation on offer, from a respected businessman who is an existing party donor.
It is now nearly 18 months since Mr Hosking made his generous offer to assist Conservative candidates who were fighting sitting Remainer MPs. For Mr Hosking and his team to be blocked and to have to fight to donate only just over half of the money must surely be a scandal in itself if you are a Conservative party member..
For there still to be no explanation forthcoming from Mrs May and her team, despite repeated requests, strongly suggests that Mr Hosking’s allegations are well-founded.
FOLLOW THE MONEY
It’s one thing to have suspicions that the Prime Minister has acted to thwart a true Brexit from the start of her tenure. It’s even more serious to ‘follow the money’ and sense, if not a smoking gun, then the whiff of cordite in the air.
If we were local Conservative party members in the 63 seats who received no financial assistance from Mr Hosking, despite his increasingly desperate attempts to give it, we would be livid.
If you agree, and if you use Twitter, why not follow Mr Hosking's Brexit Express to show your support? Their username is @BrexitE.
AND FINALLY
Readers may like to know that four parliamentary candidates who were able to receive money from Mr Hosking went on to be successful, defeating the incumbent Remainer MPs.
For the avoidance of doubt, Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org has received no funding from Mr Hosking, and there have been no discussions of any kind about this.

Message: To allow Theresa May to continue with her Brexit plans would be suicidal for the United Kingdom. She is saying I want to be in power at any cost even if it will destroy the country. Theresa May is taking the rights of people away. People living abroad have rights as do people living in this country. She is like a dictator almost like hitler in her views and policies and her and her supporters need to be stopped before she wrecks hell for the people in this country. I find her to be a inconsiderate destructive person who is saying I will go through with this although it is against the wishes of most people. Where is Boris, she needs to be thrown out. I feel that he would have more common sense in this situation.

 THE GRIEVING SORE LOSER
LEADER OF TORY REMAINER MPs CALLS FOR
“PEOPLE’S VOTE”
AND CROSS-PARTY REMAIN GOVERNMENT
Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP                                   © Parliament TV
The Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP, former Attorney-General and de facto leader of the arch-Remainer group of Tory MPs in the Commons, yesterday called for a “People’s Vote”.
He also declared he wants the Referendum result overturned. In separate comments, he was joined by fellow-traveller arch-Remainer Heidi Allen MP.
These two Tory rebel Remainers are part of a larger clique of arch-Remainers who have consistently attempted to thwart Brexit completely during the past two years. In two further articles which appear below, Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org has provided more information on them.
Former cabinet minister Grieve also proposed yesterday that in the event of a ‘no deal’ or an unacceptable deal there is sufficient support from Tory MPs for them to join up with Labour MPs on a ‘cross-party basis’.
His comments came in an article he wrote for yesterday’s Telegraph, and an interview he gave to the left-wing New Statesman magazine.
JACOB WOULD BE OUT
Regarding those Tory MPs who support the result of the Referendum, Dominic Grieve commented to the New Statesman:
“it would be a matter for those such as Jacob [Rees-Mogg] as to where they wanted to be… ”
“It would be a matter for them whether they wanted to stay in it or not.”
- Dominic Grieve QC MP, interview with New Statesman, 30 Sep 2018
SUNDAY TELEGRAPH ARTICLE BY DOMINIC GRIEVE
Writing in the Sunday Telegraph [behind paywall], he said:
“Including myself, it is now clear that there is a significant group of Conservative MPs who think that a People’s Vote - a vote on the final form Brexit will take - is absolutely indispensable for the future wellbeing of our country.
“The fact that this view is now shared by most of the parliamentary Labour Party and almost all the other opposition parties, demonstrates that the possibilities of a consensus on process is available that can lead to a far less divisive outcome than the one that threatens to engulf us.”
Mr Grieve was careful to surround his words with plenty of caveats about wanting the Prime Minister to change her position first, but he went on to warn:
“…if she insists on pressing on, I for one cannot allow short term party considerations to override the national interest.”
“A no deal Brexit is a proposal so damaging to our future that it cannot be accepted…. So the only possible response must be to return to the British electorate and ask them what they want.”
THE REMAINERS’ REAL OBJECTIVES – ADMITTED BY GRIEVE
In his article it was clear that Grieve simply wants to overturn the democratic decision of the people.
“I would, of course argue that we need to change our national position. We should choose to return to our union with twenty-seven like minded European partners, whose values we share from centuries of interconnection and whose futures are intimately bound up with our own.”
GRIEVE INTERVIEW WITH NEW STATESMAN 30 SEP
In a separate interview with the left-wing magazine The New Statesman published yesterday, the MP for Beaconsfield (Bucks) elaborated on his views.
They report that this month he was listed as a member of the People’s Vote Advisory Committee in a report entitled The Roadmap to a People’s Vote. He told his interviewer:
“I am supportive of their [the People’s Vote campaign’s] aims, there is absolutely no doubt about that.”
“I certainly think that a second referendum would be a desirable outcome, because I think that it will produce the clarity which otherwise is going to be wholly lacking.”
In the event that the government refuses to hold a second referendum – currently Mrs May’s policy – then Mr Grieve has that all worked out.
“It would be fairly radical. Ultimately, any government is one which enjoys the majority of support of members of Parliament to carry out a policy. So, it would have to be on a cross-party basis.”
And on all the Tory MPs who support the result of the Referendum, he told the interviewer:
“If we remained for some reason, it would be a matter for those such as Jacob [Rees-Mogg] as to where they wanted to be. It would be a matter for them whether they wanted to stay in it or not.”
OBSERVATIONS
Dominic Grieve is yet another lawyer-turned-politician, of which the House of Commons has more than its fair share. His mother is half-French and he is married to another barrister.
He was educated at the Lycée Français Charles de Gaulle in London’s South Kensington, then at Westminster School, before reading modern history at Magdalen College Oxford. In November 2016 – after the Referendum – France gave him their highest honour, the ‘Legion d’Honneur’.
Before entering parliament he specialised in health and safety law. He has never worked in industry or commerce.
Isn’t it interesting how Remainer MPs so often have no experience outside politics or the law, and have connections which make one wonder to which countries their loyalties really lie?

AS TORY CONFERENCE DEVELOPS
POLLING REVEALS EXTENT OF VOTER DISQUIET WITH REMAINER MPs
Polling commissioned by Tory party donor Jeremy Hosking for his newly-invigorated ‘Brexit Express’ campaign group makes for depressing reading for Tory Remainer MPs.
Below, Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org provides the stark facts facing these MPs, in graphic form, for the first time.
PRO-BREXIT FACTS4EU.ORG SUMMARY
THE ANTI-BREXIT TORY REBELS
Jeremy Hosking and his Brexit Express give the MPs the bigger picture
  • Polling in constituencies of 12 rebel MPs shows major vulnerability to public opinion
  • Majority of voters would consider switching to another party to get Brexit they want
  • Majority of voters would consider voting for a ‘Brexit-only’ party
  • Majority of voters say rebel MPs should vote based on pro-Brexit manifesto
The polling involved the seats of the following 12 MPs:-
Rt Hon Anna Soubry MP
Rt Hon Dominic Grieve QC MP
Rt Hon Ken Clarke QC MP
Rt Hon Nicky Morgan MP
Antoinette Sandbach MP
Bob Neill MP
Dr Phillip Lee MP
Guto Bebb MP
Heidi Allen MP
Jonathan Djanogly MP
Sarah Wollaston MP
Stephen Hammond MP
THE POLLING AND THE PRO-BREXIT TORY DONOR
Following the actions of a variety of these MPs and others over many months in thwarting government policy on Brexit, polling was commissioned by City financier and pro-Brexit Tory donor Jeremy Hosking.
Mr Hosking engaged the opinion pollsters ComRes to ask voters in 12 Rebel MPs’ constituencies a series of questions.
The headline results we have shown above may come as a shock to the rebel Remainer MPs concerned. The detailed results appear in the next article.
Photo right: Jeremy Hosking, Brexit Express © JH
In the next article, for the first time, Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org can reveal
in graphic detail what Remainer MPs' constituents think.
WHAT IF MR HOSKING FUNDED A PRO-BREXIT PARTY?
If a single-issue Brexit party were to be launched, in every constituency polled - except that of the Prime Minister - the majority of voters would consider voting for it.
We asked Mr Hosking for his thoughts on this:
“For the moment I will simply say that this option is under active consideration."
TROUBLING TIMES FOR REMAINER MPs AT THE CONFERENCE
Overall it's clear that some rebel MPs should start to be very worried indeed, if they have any desire to keep their jobs after the next election.
Some of them are very vulnerable indeed, with small majorities. Guto Bebb (former Minister for Defence Procurement) and Anna Soubry might already be thinking about dusting off the CVs.
Back in December 2017, Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org first originally reported on a ‘Dirty Dozen’ Tory Remainer MPs, before national newspapers caught up. Here was our list back then.
These were the original 12 Tory MPs who rebelled against the government in a vote on Brexit.
OBSERVATIONS
On the Conservative backbenches – to say nothing of the cabinet – there is a cabal of pro-Remain MPs who are actively plotting against the democratic vote of the majority of the British people.
This matters for Brexit, as Mrs May failed to secure an overall majority at the 2017 general election. The actions of the hardcore of Remainer Tory MPs are therefore of significance.
JEREMY HOSKING AND BREXIT EXPRESS
Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org is grateful to Jeremy Hosking and his team at Brexit Express for access to the raw data of the polling they commissioned, from which we produced our analysis and charts which you can read in the article below.
WAS THERESA MAY COMPLICIT IN BLOCKING PRO-BREXIT TORY CANDIDATES?
In a following article we will look at the disturbing story of how No.10 and Conservative Party Central Office appear to have blocked the funding offered by Mr Hosking for Conservative candidates at the last election.
You do not want to miss this.

Our previous article showed that the majority of voters in the constituencies of Tory Remainer MPs want their MPs to respect the Referendum result and will vote in different ways if this doesn't happen.
In this article Pro-Brexit Facts4EU.Org provides the stark facts facing these MPs, in graphic form. The polling was carried out by ComRes on behalf of Tory donor Jeremy Hosking's campaign group, Brexit Express.
THE BAD NEWS FOR TORY REMAINER MPs
Below are the results of the polling commissioned by Mr Hosking, shown in graphical form for the first time. (Click the charts to enlarge them.)

SUMMARY FOR REMAINER MPs
Whether an individual Tory Remainer MP's name appears on the above list or not, all must look at these results with some alarm. It is clear that they all face opposition and possibly far worse if they continue to pursue their current course.
The bottom-right chart above comes from our research for the ‘Brexit Battle Pack’ – a free resource for ordinary voters, enabling them to lobby their MPs and the media, and make their views known effectively.
This chart shows the number of voters who, if they had switched their votes to the second-place candidate in the 2017 general election, would have put the current MPs out of a job. Many voters may start to think they might threaten their MPs with this, on the basis that swapping their vote for a Remainer candidate from one party, to a Remainer candidate from another party, would teach their MP a lesson.
THE ROT GOES DEEPER THAN THE 12 MPS ABOVE
In July the Guido Fawkes website revealed the extent of the collusion amongst some of these individuals, ahead of the vital series of votes on the European Union Withdrawal Bill. They published a leaked email from one of the plotters, Stephen Hammond MP, to his colleagues in the ‘Conservative Group for Europe’ – a hardcore group of Remainer MPs.
On the circulation list of Remainer MPs in the group were:-
Heidi Allen, James Cartlidge, Alex Chalk, Kenneth Clarke, Jonathan Djanogly, George Freeman, Dominic Grieve, Oliver Heald, Kevin Hollinrake, Phillip Lee, Jeremy Lefroy, Paul Masterton, Nicky Morgan, Bob Neill, Mark Pawsey, Antoinette Sandbach, Anna Soubry, Caroline Spelman, John Stevenson, Debbie Sugg, Tom Tugendhat, Ed Vaizey, Sarah Wollaston.
As stated in our article above, in December 2017 we first reported on our 'Dirty Dozen' of Remainer Tory rebels who voted against the government on Brexit. This was subsequently picked up by national newspapers.
OBSERVATIONS
In each of the polling questions we have illustrated above, there is clearly considerable disquiet from voters. It would appear that Remainer MPs can no longer rely on the loyalty of their electorate to the Conservative Party, when it comes to Brexit.
Some are more vulnerable than others, of course. For example in Dominic Grieve's constituency of Beaconsfield (South Bucks) the Conservative party could probably field a hamster wearing a barrister's wig and it would still get elected. We seriously doubt this would be the case if he stood for election as part of some cross-party group, however.
In other constituencies, the story is more stark.
As shown in the chart it would only take 432 voters to switch from voting for Her Soubryness, Anna of Broxtowe, to voting for the second place candidate, and La Soubry would suddenly find herself with far more time to devote to cultivating her juniper bushes.
WAS THERESA MAY COMPLICIT IN BLOCKING PRO-BREXIT TORY CANDIDATES?
In our next article we will look at the disturbing story of how No.10 and Conservative Party Central Office blocked the funding offered by Mr Hosking for Conservative candidates at the last election. Mr Hosking offered the not inconsiderable sum of £700,000 pounds.
If you would like to know why the Conservative party hierarchy made it very difficult for him to distribute even half of this, you will not want to miss this article tomorrow.

Message: Brilliant graphs, this just shows at a glance that MPs should focus their minds now and stop coming up with excuses 'in the name of the people', so called. They should listen to the people first before making claims like that. My message to them would be that they might be forced to play musical chairs because as we know "it ain't over till the fat lady sings"!

RESULTS OF LONG-TERM PROJECT BY FACTS4EU.ORG TEAM REVEAL
FACTS DON'T RESEARCH AND WRITE THEMSELVES
The latest pieces of work from the Brexit Facts4EU.Org team have been met with a variety of reactions from world leaders, ranging from celebration to incredulity to resignation to abuse.
Alas none of us are hedge fund managers... or married to one. The Team (and one member in particular) has donated as much as it can. Can you please help fund our work?
Unlike many Brexit websites, we write our own content and create our own graphs, by researching deeply into official UK and EU official sources. Unfortunately we barely make it from one week to the next and we rely 100% on voluntary contributions - small or big.
We really could use your help in working for a clean and true Brexit.

Facts4eu.org is non party-political and not supported by any Brexit campaign.
We present facts we've researched from official government and EU sources.

Now that the Referendum has been won, we have 2 main aims:
1.  To provide bullet-pointed and factual summaries of key points, to help people to ensure Brexit is delivered in full.
2.  Crucially, to allow MPs and campaigners to give reliable and consistent facts to the public.
Please don't hesitate to contact the Editors if you can volunteer in some way, and particularly if you can support us financially.
NEUTRALITY:    Facts4eu.org focuses on information which shows that the UK is better off regaining its independence and growing globally. The entire weight of the Establishment is promoting the opposite case, so this site is just one small voice trying to redress the balance.
