EU Referendum News - Researched Facts, not Fiction.

Under Referendum law, the Government was forced to issue a report on the last day before the official Referendum period started, on 15th April 2016.

The conclusions from the report are damning, so the Government 'buried' it. We've read the 96 pages and here are the key facts for you:-

No Overall Control Of Our Borders: "Member States cannot impose unjustified restrictions on individuals exercising their rights of free movement." UK can't stop EU migrants & families coming in: "EU law gives... all other EU nationals rights to enter, live and work in another EU Member State, as well as to their family members and their dependants." Permanent Migrants: "After five years... [they] automatically acquire the right of permanent residence in that [EU] country, at which point they are no longer required to be a worker, self-employed, a jobseeker, self-sufficient or a student." EU Laws Govern You: "Once an EU Directive has been agreed, all Member States have an obligation to make national laws that give it effect." "Regulations contain detailed legal rules. Once made, regulations have the force of law in the UK." Charter of Fundamental Rights: "At a domestic level, where it is not possible to interpret domestic primary legislation consistently with an enforceable right, domestic courts or tribunals can disapply the offending provision in the domestic primary legislation." This is deliberate Civil Service gobbledygook for saying that EU laws and the other obligations of the 'Fundamental Rights' Charter take precedence over UK laws. UK Prevented From Defending British Jobs: "EU rules prevent Member States imposing restrictions on the quantity of imports and exports of a particular item." (For example, we can't ban cheap, state-subsidised steel from EU countries breaking the rules.) We could go on and on with examples from this 96 page document. It was produced by civil servants for the Government. Even though it's called 'Rights and Obligations', it focuses on rights and ignores a great number of obligations. (For example, nowhere does it mention that the Chancellor of the UK has to submit his Budgets to the EU before he announces them in Parliament. The EU knows our Budget before we do.) Although it's a one-sided propaganda document to make the Government's case sound better, even the Civil Servant mandarins couldn't hide all the bad news. So the Government buried it. However we thought you'd like to know the facts.

We explain Mr Cameron's and Mr Osborne’s extraordinary claims in normal language.

We've read the Government's 202 page Treasury report so you don't have to. Below we give a summary in a way that most normal people like us would understand things.

1. Mr Cameron and Mr Osborne claim you’ll lose £4,300 per household by 2030.
2. Per person that’s £1,800, but this sounds less so they don't mention that.
3. The £4,300 figure is 'GDP per household'. This is NOT 'income per household'.
4. No-one uses 'GDP per household' - not even the Treasury before now. GDP is a measure of national income - that's nothing like your personal income.
5. Cameron and Osborne's claims are based on predictions for 2030 – no-one in the financial world forecasts that far in advance. (Even the Treasury's latest 6-month forecasts were wrong by £27 billion.)
6. Critically, Osborne and Cameron don't admit that national income will still rise if we leave, even with their own figures.
7. They're really saying you'll still be better off in 2030 with Brexit, but in their view not as much.
8. The report was produced by Treasury civil servants. The public used to rely on their impartiality. All that has changed and the Head of the Civil Service has confirmed that they're backing the Government case.
9. The Government's claims in the Treasury Report are based on hundreds of assumptions which favour the Remain case. And the Report even assumes immigration will be an extra 3m people - way above the Government's target of 'tens of thousands per year'.
10. Even with their unusual calculations, their apocalyptic version of Brexit still shows :

National income growth per person very similar to remaining in the EU. (See chart.)

So, even if you don't believe anyone these days (no reason you should), at least you now know that even with the Government's own 15 year forecasts your income won't fall by £4,300 per household if you vote to leave the EU.

If you part-owned a luxury French hotel business,
maybe you too would tell UK workers to vote Remain?

Note: Ms Fairbairn has every right to be involved in this luxury French hotel business which she founded with her husband - and her place looks beautiful. We just think that voters have the right to know who is lecturing them how to vote, and what these people's own particular circumstances might be.

It seems the EU helps the British consumer and holidaymaker far less than the Remain side claims.

• The above are just 3 examples of ‘independent experts’ telling the British voter to vote Remain.
• These earnings figures relate to previous years.
• We don’t have their latest earnings which will of course be higher.
• They move in a rarified world, from top job to top job, and they all want the UK to Remain.

• Christine Lagarde: MD of International Monetary Fund (Supported by U.S. Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner). Broke IMF Treaties to prop up the Euro. Previously arch-Europhile French Finance Minister, Chairman of US law firm Baker & McKenzie. The IMF made massive loans to prop up the Eurozone. If the UK leaves and stops contributing, the IMF’s loans to the Eurozone are more vulnerable.

Cameron and Osborne once again enlist discredited IMF in discredited Project Fear

• The Government roll out another Europhile from an impressive-sounding organisation.
• Should we be worried? Not if the IMF’s past performance is anything to go by.
• The IMF lost all credibility in 2013 when it said the UK’s economic policies wouldn’t work and gave the UK the biggest growth downgrade of any developed country for 2013 and 2014.
• In fact growth increased by three times the IMF’s forecasts in 2013 and twice their forecasts for 2014. These were errors of enormous magnitude.
• The UK Government is one of the largest bankrollers of the IMF – our 2016 quota is $27.76 billion.
• The Head of the IMF, Christine Lagarde was the Europhile French Finance Minister. She is currently due to stand trial before the French Court of Justice in a €400 million fraud and negligence case.
• In 2012 Ms Lagarde famously criticised the Greeks for not paying enough tax, and days later it emerged that she pays no tax at all on her IMF income of $550,000 per year.
• On 16 January 2016 the IMF suddenly had to ask its member countries to double their contributions – a worrying sign in an organisation controlling the finances of countries in trouble.
• George Osborne says IMF's statement today is impartial. However IMF boss Ms Lagarde started her London speech with “Let me thank all UK authorities who have been helping us in preparing the article for work in the last few weeks. There’s always been good cooperation between the Treasury, the Bank of England and any other authorities that we consult with.” Hmm... We just couldn't make this stuff up.

Official EU Commission Report on dramatic rise in energy bills in the EU

An official EU Commission Report shows how energy prices have risen over a 7 year period, and and what we can expect in the future if we stay in:- Household electricity prices went up by 22% in the EU, compared to a rise of only 8% in the USA. Household gas prices up by an amazing 45%, compared to a rise of only 3% in the USA. Industry had rises of 38% for electricity and 35% for gas, compared to falls of 4% and 66% in the USA. The EU Commission President said: "Energy costs are set to rise in all scenarios".

Conclusion: EU membership costs us far more
than our net contribution of £10 billion per year.

New official report shows migrant numbers from EU continue to rocket up

There’s a huge discrepancy in the Government’s immigration figures which is still not explained The reality is that new NI registrations are far higher than the Government’s figure for EU migrants of the same nationality. HMRC and the Office of National Statistics refused to give an answer. After serious parliamentary pressure, 6 months later the ONS finally gives its answer today:- “This is complex work and will take time to complete.” After 6 months they still can’t explain why the numbers are so far out. They still can’t explain why NI numbers are 4 times higher than Government’s immigration figures. Sorry, this is just not credible.

The chart shows the Government’s ‘immigration’ figures and the actual NI registrations for the two EU countries who joined in 2007 – Bulgaria and Romania.

Yesterday in Parliament, the Rt Hon John Redwood MP secured an Emergency Question, followed by responses from the Government and further serious questions from MPs. The link to this is below.

Conclusion: EU immigration is far higher than Government will admit.
NI numbers are real. Immigration figures from passenger surveys are a wild guess.
The only way to stop this craziness is to leave the EU.

How does it feel to be young in mainland Europe?

Youth unemployment is a tragedy all over the EU The Brussels elite don't seem to care - it's been like this for years. The only way to make this change is to take action by voting to leave, and forcing them to change their policies. Under 25’s have been suffering joblessness for years in mainland Europe. It’s not only in Greece (50%), in Spain (48%), and in Italy (40%). Even in Brussels, the EU’s Capital, youth jobless is running at 36.2%. However in non-EU European countries the youth jobless rate is an average of only 9.1%.

EXCLUSIVE CAMERON'S RELIANCE ON EU SECURITY IS BLOWN APART 'Did we pay a ransom?' 'Oui.' 'Did someone steal the ransom?' 'Oui.'

These minutes, obtained by Facts4eu, are of a meeting of EU Commissioners in April. All the comments relate to security and safety in the EU and demonstrate how little the EU protects us from terrorism and bombs, and how security is handled between individual countries - not by the EU. President Daul’s statement on 9th May couldn’t be clearer

1. “Today more than ever, the peace of our continent cannot be safeguarded without a common and functional security union, including a European army.”
2. “This is the only way to defend our core values and defend the lives of EU citizens.”
3. So said Joseph Daul, President of EPP, on ‘Europe Day’ (9th May 2016).
4. The EPP is the largest political party - 75 member-parties from 40 countries, members include Angela Merkel, President Jean-Claude Juncker (EU Commission) and President Tusk (European Council), 7 EU and 5 non-EU heads of state and government, 14 members of the European Commission.
5. If the EPP President says it, it’s official policy.

IN RELATED NEWS: Germany takes over Dutch military forces

• 2014: The German Rapid Forces Division took over the 11th Airmobile Brigade of the Netherlands.
• 2015: The German 1st Panzer Division took over the Dutch 43rd Mechanised Brigade.
• April 2016: Germany and Netherlands agree to combine naval forces.

1. Last year, Jean-Claude Juncker, President of EU Commission said: “The European Union needs its own army... Such an army would help us design a common foreign and security policy.”

2. What he didn’t tell you is that the EU Army is already well on its way. The EU has created: the European External Action Service, the EU Institute for Security Studies, the European Defence Agency, the EU Military Committee, the EU Military Staff, the Eurocorps, and the EU Battle Groups. Discretely, the EU has been building everything it needs to run a combined military under the EU flag.

3. Even the BBC has said: “The European Union has quietly acquired what might be described as a standing army.”

4. The above is another example where the British people aren’t aware of what the EU is doing. Imagine our defence decisions being taken in Brussels. Imagine the defence of the UK in the hands of an Italian or German general. This is our future if we stay in the EU.

POORER NEW EU MEMBERS MAKE THE UK POORER 13 more poor countries are to join the EU soon

It’s never rich European countries like Norway and Switzerland who want to join the EU. New members are always poorer. Latest EU joiners were Bulgaria and Romania in 2007. Minimum wage in those countries in 2016 – Bulgaria £1.01/hr, Romania £1.10/hr. Minimum wage in UK (2016) - £7.20/hr. Seven times higher. 13 more poor countries are to join the EU soon, totalling 131 million extra people. Poor migrants bring down UK wages, says Head of Remain to Commons Select Committee. Adding more poor countries to the EU will increase UK’s annual EU contributions.

If we stay, worse is on the way.

EU’s most powerful man once again shows his contempt for us in his latest speech.

Here are some excerpts from President Juncker's speech on the State of the European Union two days ago in Rome.

• “[National leaders] are listening exclusively to national opinion.”
• “The Commission, of course, is something different. I am not the slave of the country leaders, and not the lackey of the European Parliament."
• President Juncker once again makes clear he hates democracy.
• This is the same man who said “When it gets serious, you have to lie”.
• He believes he and his colleagues know best and actually believes the people shouldn’t have a voice.
• This is the normal mentality in the EU Commission – the most powerful body in the EU -
  which now dominates our lives.

10 years of being pro-Turkey, then going cold-Turkey just before the Referendum?

Here are some short excerpts from Mr Cameron's speeches on Turkey's accession to the EU.

• 2005: “We warmly welcome the accession talks with Turkey.”
• 2010: “So I will remain your strongest possible advocate for EU membership and for greater influence at the top table of European diplomacy. This is something I feel very strongly and very passionately about.”
  “Turkey deserves its place at the top table of European politics – and that is what I will fight for.”
  “The case for Turkish membership of the European Union is indisputable.”

• 2015: “I can confirm the British government’s policy hasn’t changed and he’s absolutely right in what he says about the importance of helping Turkey [become an EU member state].”

TRADE DEALS DON’T TAKE 10 YEARS – UNLESS YOU’RE THE EU

Singapore negotiates and has trade deals up and running in an average of 22 months. The EU takes up to FIVE TIMES longer to conclude Free Trade Agreeements. Singapore accounted for £5.6 billion worth of UK exports in 2014 - and that's without being able to do a free trade deal (the EU won't let us). The EU has taken 9 years to conclude a trade deal with Singapore (and counting – it’s still not ratified). The fastest Singapore deal took 12 months to be up and running. The average was 22 months, excluding the EU. The EU has 28 squabbling nations to bring into line, no wonder it takes forever. The EU also tries to impose its human rights agenda and other political issues as part of the deal. Project Doom & Gloom claim we'd take 10 years to do trade deals. The rest of the world works much faster.

The EU slows down and hinders trade.
An independent UK will work faster and better, to the benefit of all of us.

FACTS4EU.ORG EXCLUSIVE EU Commission gives shocking new figures for cost of migrants into the EU

EU Commission announced proposed new asylum rules for EU countries yesterday. They've effectively set the processing cost per migrant at €¼ million euros per man, woman, and child. EU countries must accept forced relocation of migrants again. If countries refuse, they pay a “contribution of €250,000" for each applicant. Note that this figure is a ‘contribution’, not a fine – and the Commission does not even say it’s the full cost per migrant. EU now admits to receiving 1.32 million asylum seekers in 2015. That means a cost in 2015 of a £¼ TRILLION pounds. That’s such a massive number it’s hard to comprehend. It’s the equivalent of £3.9 million for every man, woman, & child in the UK.

Damning calculation of damage to UK economy caused by EU, writes leading former Minister John Redwood MP

"Using Mr Osborne’s method of assessing economic loss, we have already lost far more than he fears we might by belonging to the EU. Just look at the losses we can directly blame on our membership:

1. Membership of the European Exchange Rate Mechanism forced on us by John Major, the CBI, the TUC and the Labour party. It led directly to a large recession, costing us 5% of our National Income, with losses in the years that followed.
2. Membership of the Common Fisheries policy, losing us a third of our fishing output and putting us into trade deficit on fish.
3. Forced premature closure of our coal fired power stations, and consequent loss of coalmines.
4. Loss of heavy industry as a result of high energy prices required by EU energy regulations.
5. Loss of export opportunities during Euro crisis of 2011, and over the long term thanks to slow growth in Euroland resulting from the currency scheme and its austerity policies.

There is no evidence that our growth rate increased as a result of our membership of the single market, and no favourable upward wobble in growth when they “completed” the single market in 1992 or widened it again in the years thereafter."

This important decision was made under the EU's Dangerous Chemicals Regulation.

1. The EU Commission’s only formal 'Decision' on Friday was to approve little bags of dried lavender.
2. It was approved under the EU’s Restriction of Chemicals Regulation (EC) No 1907/2006.
3. This is the same Regulation which stops the UK from banning dangerous chemicals – see below.
4. “A product consisting of dried lavender blossoms in a pad is neither a biocidal product nor a treated article for the purposes of Article 3(1)(a) and (l) of Regulation (EU) No 528/2012.”.
5. It is signed: “Done at Brussels, 29 April 2016. For the Commission, The President, Jean-Claude JUNCKER”

Imagine how many highly-paid Brussels bureaucrats were involved in evaluating this before the Decision was made. Do they really have nothing better to do?

EU is criticised strongly in official reports for failures on hazardous chemicals.
UK now has no right to ban chemicals even if they're thought to cause cancer.

1. The EU slammed has been strongly criticised in reports for failing to protect people & the environment.
2. The EU finally started acting on hazardous chemicals and issued a Directive in 2009 known as REACH.
3. Since then the EU has been criticised for slowness and very strange decisions.
4. The EEB (European Environmental Bureau) said in December “European citizens and the environment will continue to be unnecessarily exposed to substances of very high concern”.
5. International Chemical Secretariat (ChemSec) in April 2016 described EU’s decisions as ‘peculiar’ and ‘unfortunate’.
6. ChemSec say EU decisions expose us to chemicals ‘harmful to human health and the environment’ and that the EU adopts a “business-as-usual approach by which authorisations become permits to pollute”.

The UK could regain the power to protect its own citizens if it left the EU.

IF YOU KNOW THE FACTS, YOU CAN DECIDE

SO WHY IS NO-ONE TELLING VOTERS WHAT 'REMAIN' WILL LOOK LIKE?

• The EU mutates and grows every year. Often in a significant ways. Generally unreported on British TV.
• 19 of the 28 countries are now in the Eurozone. They share the common currency: the Euro.
• All other members except UK and Denmark must join in the end – Treaty rules.
• The Eurozone is in crisis and the EU's only solution is economic and political union – one state.
• This was always the intention of the EU's founders from the beginning - now it's coming.
• Last year the EU set out a plan, described in many official documents, to achieve it.
• The EU plans to merge all 19 Eurozone countries’ economies and policies by 2025 – only 9 years away.

So by 2025, 19 Eurozone nations will effectively become one country.
You didn't know this? That's because British TV almost never reports such things.

• Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Greece, the Netherlands, etc will cease to exist as sovereign, self-governing countries.
• This is fact. States which can't control their budgets, their banks, their taxes, their borrowing, their benefits, their social policies, their borders, and their foreign policy, obviously cannot be considered to be sovereign nations.
• The UK will then be on the outside of everything. The German-dominated 'United States of Europe' will reign, and yet we'll still be expected to pay ever-growing contributions.
• The British people will feel like extras, having to pay to appear in someone else’s foreign movie.

Sounds alarmist?  This future is fully-documented by the EU.

For the EU, ‘One Direction’ means one country.
A Financial and Political Union of all member states:
A ‘United States of Europe’.

In the end the UK will be forced to join this political and financial union.

When that happens the Pound will go, your taxes, benefits and laws will come from an unelected government in Brussels (many do already), your armed forces will be under foreign Generals, you’ll have the EU anthem and fly the EU flag, and an EU President will inevitably become Head of State instead of your Queen.

Mr Cameron can say what he likes about our supposed 'special status', or our supposed opt-outs from 'ever closer union', Schengen, and the Eurozone. It won't make any difference. The EU has a long history of ignoring agreements and referendum votes, and of taking ever more power. In the end we'll have to join.

IMPORTANT : Only vote to Remain if the future above is what you want.
